Regardless of the difficulty level chosen by the player, 104 cards are used in Spider Solitaire. Slightly more than half of this amount (namely 54 cards) are laid out on the game table (Tableau) in 10 columns. Only the cards lying on top are open in them. And the number of cards in them varies: the four left columns consist of 6 cards each, and the remaining ones – of 5 each. The other part from two decks (50 cards) is stacked in the bottom right of the table in 5 stacks (stock). They are drawn one by one by the player at the moment when there are no moves left with the cards available on the tableau.
Classic Spider Solitaire sets a specific task for the player: to build new columns from cards in which there is a specific sequence of cards in descending order: they should start with kings, and aces should crown them on top. At the same time, any column must consist of cards of only one suit. If the player manages to assemble such a sequence, it is automatically removed from the layout to the bottom left corner of the screen (Foundation). At the same time, cards of different suits can also be stacked on each other if necessary, if they go in descending order, but such a sequence, of course, will not be removed.
In Spider Solitaire, you will have to lay out cards in a specific order to clear the game field (Tableau) and win. But to become a true master of solitaire, it is necessary to know and follow certain rules.
Goal of the game. Your task is to assemble 8 sequences of cards from king to ace in each suit. This means that on each of the four columns there should be a full set of cards of one suit.
Start. The game begins with dealing 54 cards into 10 columns (Tableau piles). The top card of each column is open, and the rest are closed. Your task is to lay out cards in such a way as to free up space for creating sequences from king to ace.
Movement rules. Cards can be moved from one column to another in descending order and with different suits. When the top card of a column is freed, you can transfer any card or set of cards (build) onto it. You cannot place a higher card on a lower one or move an incomplete build. Also, blocks of cards cannot be moved if they are not ordered in descending order.
Using empty tableau piles. When an empty space appears after moving cards, use it for temporary storage of cards. This will help you free up space and create new combinations.
